Thank you for visiting East Coast Exotics.

We are located in Landing, NJ and we breed about 20 species of birds in our home. We are not set-up for customer visits as we operate under the "closed-aviary concept". There are no exceptions as this is our home and not a pet shop. Most of our sales are initiated by word of mouth, references and/or pictures of our babies. We also wholesale to a few select bird shops, therefore, if you must see your baby prior to purchase, we can recommend one of our retail customers to you. All of our birds are banded with our aviary acronym... "ECE NJ" so you will know your baby was raised by us in our home whether purchased from us directly or from a shop.

The main things that we'd like you to know about us is that we do our best to keep our birds and our customers happy. We protect our breeders, their babies and our customers from exposure to avian health problems...

- We do not broker nor board birds (i.e. if we don't produce them, we don't sell them)

- We test all new additions prior to being added to our flocks for Polyoma, Psittacosis & PBFD

- We guarantee the health of all of our birds and customers have 5 days to confirm their health with a Certified Avian veternarian.

- We do provide a 2 week personality guarantee (also in writing) for some customers as long as we feel comfortable that they are not using us as "try a bird".

- If you send us a deposit, we will send you pictures of the baby as it is growing (every 2-3 weeks depending upon the customer's requests) If you have a camera on your PC, I'll gladly show you your baby. Deposits are usually 1/3 - 1/2 the cost of the baby/bird(s) and are non-refundable.

- We do not force wean any babies. They wean on THEIR schedules and they are all abundance weaned onto a variety of foods including, but not limited to... sprout, beans, pasta, pellets, seed, fruit & veggies... 

- We also follow-up and ask customers to call us if they have any concerns or questions before as well as after the placement. This does not substitute for a visit to an avian vet. We are only part of the help system that you can use.
